Hi,
Have recently been given two one year Hermann's. Was told by 'breeder' they were british, but have since found out they are slovenian. Would never have supported this trade, have heard and seen horrific things about what these little guys have to go through. Have reported him as has my torts vet, and i will be taking it further. However, the torts seem to be doing ok, but would like any advice on general care and feeding information from more experienced tortoise keepers.

don't know if you've seen the stickies at the top of the page, but there is one on med tortoise care (this includes hermanns) there is also a sticky on suitable weeds.

I would advise that you take a poo sample to your vets, most of these wild caught tortoises have protazoa or worms.
