If they don't even know what to do with them then it's unlikely they'd be able to successfully incubate them anyway.

Wonder what species they are?

Nor would I, but the joy of keeping reptiles is captive breeding them, nothing beats the wonder of seeing eggs hatch. If you don't want to keep the babies you can sell them and seperate the adults so it would not happen again.

Yeah but i spose theres a lot of people who really arnt interested in breeding and/or wouldnt know/or arnt interested where to start.

My origonal point was if youre not gonna incubate or give em to someone with an incubator just chuck em. Why muck about freezing them how pointless is that.

Very true but you know what the average pet shops like theyll just give you any old two , and it can be quite hard to sex some species of turtle when thier small.

guys when he said freeze them, he didn't mean put them into a freezer.

He meant don't offer the correct temps for incubation..thus 'freezing' the eggs.

He could have worded it better admittedly but hell i've been having foot in mouth syndrome lately as well

With the way the weather is at the moment, if you chuck them out with the rubbish they will freeze anyway. However, during the summer (not that we get much of one here) if you really dont want eggs to hatch and your last resort is not to incubate then putting them in the fridge or freezer for a couple of days is a good idea as the warmth may well incubate if they dont get damaged in the rubbish. I know it's hughly unlikely but I cant think of anything worse than risking an animal hatch then starve to death anyway.
