It's looking Good, just drop the UVB tube.

also, it were mine I would get a clamp desk lamp, but a normal bulb in there and face it to one end so a more effective temperture gradient is established.

that would be totaly pointless and do nothing at all in a tort table youre trying to create a hot spot not so much a gradient across the table!!!

on the contrary a thermal gradient is preferential for tortoises.

A hot spot on one end for basking, then the remaining length of the table for the gradient..eventually leading to a cool end (room temp will suffice).

That way the torts can choose the correct temps, and thermoregulate.

(deep sand/soil substrate also helps to aid this tho of course)

If the tables big enough I cant see there being any problems if it was facing down in the middle. But I just thought you'd get a wider range of tempertures if it was facing down at on end.

what ypou said was facing down at one end percieved as pointing towards one end not pointing down in one end.
At room temperature a hot spot is fine with the rest of the table at room temp, which IS creating a gradient technicly

actually yeah reading back what jason said he did say 'face it to one end' so can see what you mean now. Could be taken the wrong way...or well the literal way as the case may be.

think i'm that used to reading the same answers i scan read them
