Smile Herman?

Hi, I'm new to all this so Hi!

I've always wanted a tortoise since I was little (I'm 13 now) and I want to spend the rest of my life with them. I want to get one while I'm 13 so that I could spend most of my life with him/her. I've looked into looking after hermans? can you keep them outside and inside or just outside? as when I go to university I might have to move to a flat. How big to hermans get? I love bigger tortoises than smaller ones. Can you let them roam free in a house. If they have like one room they can roam around. My dogs ain't really the problem but I won't leave them all in one room alone. Can you give me some basic care on looking after hermans. I'm saving up my own money on one so when it's my birthday in june I'd probably be able to get one.

Thank you!
Izzy

can i recommend you take a look at Tortoise Trust Web - Start Page and also. Tortoises

bigger tortoises wouldn't be logical, especially if you're planning on taking the tortoise to uni with you. by the way i'm not aware of any campus' that accept pets, so this may not be possible anyways.

I wouldn't recommend letting the torts free roam in the house either, outside really is best.
