Can we do useful and handy tips for new tortoise keepers please as I'm (hopefully) getting my Hermann hatchling tomorrow

BUT only if we don't have to get into penguin husbandry too

You are very lucky someone else wants anyone advise on here because it is so confusing and some many people give such different advise, people need to be careful new owners do not just get on and do their own thing and stop asking for valuled advise all together. It is enough to make the pope swear some of the arguments on this forum.

I've had some wonderful advice from people on this forum in both the shelled and lizard section and have made some lovely friends. New keepers just need to remember to do plenty of research outside the forum too and then they're able to judge for themselves which of the differing advice given they wish to use. There aren't many arguments on this forum, just plenty of good debates

Gotta say i too have had good advice from here too, even with a few 'debates', i have learned loads, and also saved a few quid! I do sometimes argue but i do take in the info!
