Default after reading all that ive got to have a lttle say

thought the big debate was a really good read i think we are allways going to have this sort of thing with every rep who keeps them right who keeps them wrong ive had it with my beardies (ceramic heating) dont think there will be ever a time when everyone keeps everything the same way regardless of animal but as long as its healthy and appears to be happy just do what you think is right bth way skipped last few pages bit off topic so thought bollocks go to the end cheers darren

I got bored with reading this by page 20, so if this has been said before I apologise!

I think people are getting their temps mixed up as some are putting them down as centigrade and others are in farenhiete.

My first tort was kept in a viv with a heat mat underneath, fed incorrectly, not hibernated etc... Yep I listened to what the pet shop said, I trusted them to know the right things. A year later I was told to change things to what tort people class as the norm... Tort table, weed only diet, no heat at night and hibernated.

The first 18 months I had him he grew too quickly due to wrong diet and too much heat. And to cut a long story short, he has been in a tort table for over 4 years now and acts differently... Well I say in a tort table, he is outside in a huge enclosure most of the time, and of course hibernating during the winter.

I am not going to say why he is better in a tort table, but I know he is, he acts differently. In my mind a tort table/outdoor enclosure is much more natural, and if we are going to keep animals we should keep them as naturally as we can. Saying we shouldn't keep them in this country is daft as they are already here, so we have to do what is the most natural for them.

But i believe i have nowt to apologise about at the mo'... nor put right!
Seriously dude. I've enjoyed this 'debate' and I wouldn't ruin it by being rude or sarcastic.
I'm really sorry if you interpreted it that way. But I would happily swear on my own life that I was not trying to be sarcastic in anyway. Nor was I trying to be funny, swear on my own life.

if you are refering to the comment 'lost sleep' it was simply a metaphor to show that I was baffled by your picture.

Please try to understand this isnt of being biased towards one way it could have been interpreted.

Thanks,

Jason.
