Just wondering can a YBS detect red light , is it ok to leave it on at night???

your ybs has no need fot a night time light as far as im aware

not 100% on that bit sorry i kno most reptiles cant see red and so on......

not sure about turts

even if they could its only dim if its just for a visual at nigt get a moonglow bulb

I have read that they can see red light, but they don't need a light on at night.
