What that means is there is a very strong likely hood the animal will be carrying internal parasites ( worms and possible protazoa) so a trip to the vet with a poo sample will tell if the animal needs treating for this problem.

It means that they will have been brought in from another country and not UK bred (you said earlier they were from a breeder). There is every possibility they will have been wild caught This is probably why they have such good growth, it also means they could be carrying disease and parasite loads, so best to get a sample off to be checked out.

You have me confused now. If it is from a breeder it is not wild caught is it so not likely to have parasites, but if a breeder got them from Bristol then they are not from a breeder but a dealer
WC torts are not very tame especially leopards. Growth is down to your husbandry no matter where they come from
Hope this helps

Default Hey!

That tortoise is WAYYYYYY too small to be 4 years old. Mine leopard tortoise is the size of my palm and is around 9 months old.
Its illegal.. HIGHLY illegal to buy or sell a turtle or tortoise that small. (I believe its less than 4 inches)
Anyways, mine alot bigger than that but is still too small to tell the sex.

Not in the UK it isn't, maybe you're thinking of the "Four Inch Rule" in the US?
