How can you be in trouble if its imported who is telling you off I don't understand.

People are giving advise on what to do IF it is imported so you don't have the worry of a possible parasite burden that may well cause problem later in its lfe you have it your choice no one can tell you off so to speak but only guide you in the right direction

thank you i have never had a tort b4 apart from the hermann i have a vets appointment next week, to have a checkup and 2 be wormed, 10am tuesday did have it mon but changed vets as these have a speciaist in tortoise and other rptiles,

they said i have to kleave them there for a couple hrs or so due to them having to have the worming med feed to there stomachs, does this hurt them?
also what is the other thing u metioned please thanks.

If you are using an experienced vet then thats all well they will know what they are doing.

The other parasite that is often found in tortoises especially imports is a protazoa called Hexmita parvo

The vet will check with a microscope the tortosies poo the parasites if it has any will show up in that
