The water is much too warm for turts of this age, it only needs to be around 20°C and you shouldn't need a water heater to achieve that. The warm water isn't really helping as it encourages the growth of harmful bacteria which are infecting the areas of shell rot.
That male with the long claws is a lot more than 18 months BTW! The long claws are typical of sexually mature males, and they don't normally mature until the age of 3 or 4.
I'd really like to see some photos of your setup, those Fluval filters are internals I assume? In which case they aren't doing a lot of good and you should probably get rid of them, but a pond filter should be quite good if it's set up correctly, it sounds as though it may not be though.
Salt in the water isn't a bad idea, many turts benefit from a small amount of salt as it has antiseptic properties and can help stop the growth of bacteria, but it does have to be a small amount!

i keep getting conflicting info some sites say turn the temp up to help fight infect and your saying its way to high the turts cant be 3-4 i bought them as babies size of a fifty pence and i have had the 18 months surly they cant be 1 year old at the size i have bought them as i say i need all the help i can get so i am taking all what you say on borad i have turn the temp down to 20 as you say the fuvals are internals and as far as i know the pond filters does work as it take water out of the tank down a 3' pipe into the filterand then back a differant pipe and sprays back into the tank
the turts are as big as an adult hand 6-7 inchs
