As has already been said a digital in/out thermometer would monitor your temps better. Also I'd be tempted to move the uv lamp so it's closer to the basking lamp or buy the combined basking/uv light as you're buying a ceramic clamp light anyway. The little log ramps which you can bend to shape (Pets at Home sell them) make a nice addition as hides/bridges. Hemp would be a better alternative to hay. The basking rock isn't necessary and may get too hot.

It's a great design and admirable that you're spending so much time planning before you get your tort

Which ikea table are you using?

Oh, almost forgot to the forum.

Thanks for all the help and advice
I will change the plan to make it a bit better
Im using the Vikka Amon Curry table 100cmx60cm. LOL Ikeas always do such funny names.
At pets at home do they sell lots of reptile things? I have a huge one very near me.
Thanks!

Our Pets at Home don't... I wish they did as they're only about 10 minutes down the road. They do sell a few bits and bobs but they're mainly for hermit crabs. The internet is usually the cheapest place for things, I found Surrey Pet Supplies had a good range and were quite cheap.

Do any of you guys know where to get cheap uv and heat combined lamps?
Ive seen some for £50 and let's just say I thought it was a complete rip off for a bulb.

50 is not so bad. Considering that in the time you have one bulb (about a year) you have to buy two UV tubes.
Graham knows someone that, on Ebay that does MegRays for 30 or 40 quid I think..
