Water cress seems better nutritionally than the tiny stuff (forgot it's name now).Keep trying him with different weeds and what about trying a little bit of grated carrot or a grape.Just to see if he will eat.If not I would go to the vets with him.Hope he improves soon

Hi it is worth getting him checked by a proper reptile vet, maybe he has worms or other protazoa (I think that is what it's called) Is he drinking do you know? How long is it since he ate again?

Here is a list of recommended vets, hopefully there's one in your area:

Area

Give them a call in the morning, explain the situation and ask how much a consultation is... they do vary from vet to vet. If you don't think you can afford the payment in one go ask if you can pay in installments, a good vet will normally let you do that.

It would probably be a good idea to have him checked out now, especially if he hasn't put on any weight since xmas.

Good luck, hope things turn out okay for you.

Yes if possible take a poo sample with you.Let us know what the vet says.I think it was Ed that was talking about protazoa but I am not sure.Maybe he can help if you ask him.

Has he been drinking?

Protozoans are internal parasites... there are different types seen in tortoises most common being flagellates and amoebas. They can be treated with medication. I don't know the cost though I'm afraid.

Taking a fresh poo sample would be a very good idea.
