Default horsfield not eating

my horsfield has been off hs food a week last saturday he was not intrested in eating tried nce fresh weeds and supermarket crap he just wont eat even tried cucumber he usually loves this,he is allways sleepy i keep pokeing him to make sure he is alive,i planted a water cress punnet in his table and he had a little nibble 3 days ago but nothing since,

im extremely worried ne ideas i have been batheing him he is still pooing and weeing fine

been bathing 2 times a day.i made water a little deeper and used a spoon to give his shell a litttle wipe he likes this ,while doing it i splashed him on the head with water wich he liked he stuck his head right out and let me do it normally if water goed near his head he is off .

Well the temps are fine so it can't be that. Are you sure he's not eating? It's strange he's still pooping when he hasn't eaten.

Are you sure temps are right?

A vet visit might be in order.

Has he shown any improvement or deterioration over the last week?

It could just be that he's attuned to the time of year and is not winding down as such, but slowing down. Even with temps kept constant horsfields are supposed to be quite in tune with the time of year

That being said however, it could be something more serious like a parasite burden or even protozoa infection. You said he's passing faeces are these firm, hard, soft..is there any undigested food in them that you can see.
How are his urates white and creamy or gritty?

Green is okay if it's solid. The 'white like bird poo' are called urates and it should be creamy and soft.

He may just be reacting to the very cold snap we've had recently.

Hiya I hope he improves soon if not i would take him to see the vet.Just a note about the cress. That tiny little cress you get in punets isn't water cress.Water cress has biggish leaves bigger than clover.

Watercress (nasturtium officinale). it has a much, much larger leaf to the cress traditionally grown indoors and is nutritionally much better.
