Adult sulcata's need a huge amount of space indoors and outdoors. Really, i t wouldn't be practical to keep them in the house, so they would need a LARGE outdoor space with a large heated Shed for the winter, which would need to be at least the size of a small bedroom.
I suggest you do the sulcata reality test here: Turtle Homes - Sulcata test btw, Love the name of your Beardies, reminds me of someone I can't quite put my finger on.. |

yes think very carefully before buying a sulcata as alot of people buy them when they are young and dont realise what they are getting into, but on the other hand there is a lot of people buy them and see to all there needs. its not to bad for me as i have a large garden and im a bricklayer so i can build a brick shed as big as i want really. alot of people arent in my position and cant afford lcal builders to build them adequate housing. if you do decide to get a sulcata i hope you can care for all its needs, it not impossible

Definatley, and I would encourage anyone who does have the ability to look after them to do it, as they are beutiful tortoises and must be very rewarding. I know Terrypin keeps Leopards which are smaller then sulcatas, but still rather large so may be able to give you tips
