Default Repti Glo 5.0 UVB Bulb 25W

Repti Glo 5.0 UVB Bulb 25W its 30" long in my 4x2 enclosure for Leopard Tortoise, just asking if this is okay for my little guy? Its 5% UVB & 30% UVA

You would be better off with a 10% bulb and reflector,or a combined Mercury Vapour Spotlight-(Powersun,Mega-Ray etc).

10% are the best but have not been around for long so if you have already bought the 5% you do not have to throw it away. These bulbs however good are no way as good as the sun so don't forget to use nutrabol from time to time.

A 5% bulb will be ample for your tortoise but could do with being 42in to give maximum coverage. Use Nutrobal as directed. 1 pinch per kg of animal. Don't forget to change your tube every 6-9 months as the tube with loose it's UV strength.

5% isn't ample at all. The minimum I go for is 8.0, and that is only if the 10.0 is sold out. If you buy the 10.0 then it only needs changing every 12 months.

Is there a 12%? I have had torts 5+ years and I have only ever seen the 10.0

This is silly i cant find a 10% one anywhere in Dublin, any ideas?
