Default tortoise dragging his legs?!

hi im alison aka sheldon my tortoise i have a three yr marginated tortoise and from te lastweek i have noticed hes been dragging his rear legs and doesnt seemhis usual self ive inspected his legs and he moves them so i dont think he has a break and when we let him roam about the house he uses the back ones more.He is on newspaper and small chips ive read most people have sand soil mix i will change that over but what i have noticed is that he ued to scrape and eat his cuttle fish but hasnt touched his one lately would this be metabolic bone disease im going to invest in a uvb megaray heat lamp will this cure him? or is there a tortoise expert from the portsmouth area i could chat to? ps hi im a newbe registered last night !!

you could use hemp [auboise] as a substrate you buy it in bales like the sawdust from horsey places.if its mbd the uvb wont cure it.what uv light source are you using.?sounds like best thing take to a tortoise vet for check up go on tortoise trust site for list of vets in your area.

If it was MBD, surely he'd try to correct the diffiency by eating the cuttle fish bone not the other way round..?
