From your reading have you come across the info that you'll need to keep at least 3 females if you end up with a male and want to keep them altogether? A nice excuse to get some more if you do

I vaguely remember reading something along those lines. So that the single female doesnt get constantly pestered by the male. thus reducing stress levels!!

mmmm I wonder........

The problem is though where do you get females from big enough to make sure they are female? Are there any about for sale?

There are one or two larger females being advertised on various sites, however, I find that the male gives the majority of his attention to the largest female, so even with other, smaller females around, the largest still gets pestered.
I've always assumed that this was a psychological thing and the males are conditioned to mate with the largest female around in order to increase the chance of a successful mating.
But then again I could just as easily be completely wrong..........again.
