Default Weight!

Hey guys, when I got my tortoise I forgot to ask the breeder what age he was, so I asked my friend who has a tortoise and he guessed about 6 months, but my little guy weighs 100grams and I'm guessing thats far too big for a 6 month old.. ?

I have big hands btw

No signs of excessive growth, nice smooth shell, I would estimate between two and three years of age.

Nice tort...I have NO experience of Horsfields.
SCL is the straight carapace length
Imagine if he was sat on a piece of paper with head and legs in push him upto a wall and measure from there along the paper to the point at the back of the shell.
I believe there is Mc Intyre ratio for horsfields similiar to the jacksons for hermanns/spurs...google it and see.

Thank you guys, my little guy is 70mm "7cm" thats the bottom of his shell, his belly from one end to the other not including his head or feet. He is 80mm "8cm" from one end of his shell to the other over the back of his shell, so from just above where his neck is, to just above where his tail is, and hes 100grams, also he's a horse field, can you guys tell me if thats about right?
