i think it maybe female once she starts to grow a little more female red foots actually get a waist line. males do not. The plastron doesn't appear wide enough to be male.

Nah - it is the males that get a waist.

Not the best example/picture but this is Roger. If you look down the side of his shell you can see it goes inwards near the middle. Thats the waist we are talking about. Imagine if you had an oval balloon, that would be female, then if you held your hands round the middle, male. Very bad description but the best I can come up with at the moment.

Males also have a more concave underneath. But, as with the waist, it can be more or less pronounced on different torts.

I get you, thanks for the images Bt and Sarah. I think Baldrick is 100% female. Oh well, I have a daughter instead of a son.
Cant wait until Princess Baldrick gets that big
Just out of interest, her plaston(?) length is approx 5.5 inches (14cm)
Any idea of the age? Im guessing 2 years?

When born they are about 2 inches i would say 3-4 years at that size.
