That's a great table... it looks really good

Lovely wee torts too

Try a garden centre for your slate, they usually sell pieces by weight. I got mine from the garden bit of B & Q.

slate can normally be purchased from many garden centres and aquatic shops. Just be careful how high you build it in your table as your tortoise may climb out

Great tort table

I bought my slate from a garden centre, but if you can find any broken terracota plant pots or saucers at somewhere like B&Q you might get them free, you could use them in the same way. I found a large square terracota pot which had one side smashed off, asked at B&Q if I could have it as it would make a great hide in the garden, and they gave it me

aw really nice enclosure, and gorgeous torts..one comment careful with the wire my little one kiara is a bugger and will chew anything fluffy/rubbery..well actually come to think of it..anything given half a chance. goes to show they dont know whast good for em i suppose lol

I have removed the thermometer now and there are no other wires within reach. I have noticed they like to chew anything and everything.

very nice table!
can i ask... and this is for anyone really. I once heard something about torts eyes and that they can get catterax (dunno if ive spelt that right) if they are too close to the uv lighting.
not trying to criticise cos that tables bloody brill... but the uv tube luks slightly low to me.... maybe im wrong! Like i say, just asking for advice for myself aswell really. ta!
