I actually don't see the difference between the two even if they are good friends. They are equally as friendly.

Back to the point...

I personally don't like using fridges because there is no room for error... many a tortoise have died in this setup by inexperienced keepers who were led to believe this is a very easy practice... it's not. It requires a specific touch so if you don't get it just right... lots of problems.

I'm not even going to touch the mixing of species part...

I think most people do put holes in the box and/or lid, but I don't. The lid isn't air tight and I open the box every couple of days to let fresh air in it.
