Hey James, well you obviously haven't been to the shop for a lot longer than 2 weeks. Cardiff has one of the most strictest regulations out of all wales and I was granted a pet shop license by the vet and Cardiff City Counsil so I am sure if the conditions were as you say they sure wouldn't have granted me with a license.

As for the Gentalman who use to own Reptiles R Us Yes he has helped me a lot and is a very experianced herpotoligist as you must know. But no he does'nt work for me. As for his past not for me to go into.

And LeeLee you are right mate I aint got no balls!!! Or maybe you are to imature to know that women don't have them!

So If you decide to come and give the shop a visit and you don't things are right please do let me know so that I can put things right as it is not easy starting up a shop as a few of you out there know.

leelee862: I am actually a genuine new member. A friend, who has been part of this forum for a few months, suggested that I post my views as it was a good way to get a point across to the UK reptile community. I didnt want to start a new thread slagging the shop off, but when he pointed out this thread I thought it was my place to reply.

Leane: This was not personal and Im sorry if I offended you but I would do the same with any shop in which I felt the husbandry was sub-standard. I understand that opening a shop is hard work, but from my point of view, it isnt hard to put some paper towel and a water dish in with royals etc. I trust then, if you have been inspected, that everything is up to standard now and therefore I wish you luck in your new business. Please understand though that if I see reptiles being kept in what I think are poor conditions I will make my voice heard, as the health and wellbeing of animals should be a priority from the early stages of building the shop to completion and opening.

These are my views anyway, and I am pleased if the conditions are now improved to a suitable standard.

Regards

James

Sorry LeeLee Misunderstood!! It p***** me off when people no nothing and talk a load of S*** I have spent a lot of money on the shop and have done everything in the welfare of the reptiles. Yes I would like to make a living from it but I love my reptiles too as anyone who owns a reptile will know the feeling!!

Any way my shop is open and I am sure I will prove him wrong and I am sure you will not be disapointed if you come to have a look. Let me know who you are and I will make you a cuppa or two.

If I need to post pictures to get people to believe me I will! I have a couple of friends who have taken pics also as they were equally disgusted, so Im sure they'll post theirs.

Like I said though I havent been there in two weeks, although opening a shop and being "busy" is no excuse for the extremely poor care of animals.

Ill post them tonight, when I figure out how to get them off my phone and onto my PC lol!

Regards

James
