Ive been to several shops over the last few months, some well known and respected others not so. Ive only seen two ill buy animals from!
One of the most well known and respected was in my opinion one of the worst with animals covered in mites and when i went in they made no effort to greet me and was actually slagging off a person on this forum. Others just have a lack of knowledge that i think is essential in a shop even on simple things. And then some are just overpriced

I have heard some things about this shop but they could simply be rumours and i will judge that when i see it!
This shop looks good and ill be sure to say hello when i pop in. We need good shops but we also need good shops to work together rather than fight for business!!

I wish you luck with your shop Leanne, if I wasn't so far away I would pop in for a visit. I work in an exotics shop (just as an employee) and I realise that you do get people who come in and say this is not right, that is not right but pet shops often get quite a bad rap and I think that this sometimes leads to people actually trying to find faults
Your shop looks nicely set-up to me and I think everyone should realise that you are not likely to pile that amount of money into opening a rep shop if you don't care about the animals!

I have had some trouble regarding this thread in PMs/emails and in the shop, with people being told that it is myself who is creating multiple accounts to cause trouble.

I want to point out to everyone on this forum that I am a moderator here, which comes with certain responsibilities, that I do not have multiple accounts, and it would not be right to do so, and that the admin would easily know if I did and was breaking the rules! I work hard for this forum, I work hard for my reptiles, and anyone who thinks that I am here to abuse my position of power obviously does not know me.. so those of you sending me PMs, emails, and MSNs, please get your facts straight first.

I support business, and I have no problems with this reptile center, and think the area needs more business, not less. In the next year there will be several more shops in the Cardiff area opening (unaffiliated with myself), for which I look forward to.

I have never met nor spoken to leane and have no problems with her, or her business. I have however good ties with almost all the other shops in the area and was hoping it would be the same here. I'm not an aggressive person, I want to mind my own business and enjoy my work, which is hard to do when I'm being told a pack of lies.

Anyone suggesting that it is the "competition" (ie. me) slagging her off, needs to come and speak to me in person, and take the right legal stance, because apparently someone is telling people that it is ME causing problems for this shop.

If you are referring to me, I would really appreciate it if you could stop by the shop and speak to me in person, as someone is spreading the wrong kind of rumours, that will be bad for all business in the area or verify who you are referring to, as accusing other businesses of breaking the law is surely something quite serious.

I am not commenting on the shop at all, I have no problems with it, but I have been told by several people that apparently someone is saying it is only me who is contributing negatively to this thread, and whoever is saying that, needs to get their facts right, so this needed to be posted publically.

I dont know if Leane was referring to anyone in particular, I thought she was just saying it generally as people took to her shop so badly on here that she assumed they had shops close by.
Im sure both the shops are very good, and like Athravan said, there is no need to cause bitterness between shops as you will lose sales both ways.

Whoever it is blaming Athravan shouldnt be so pathetic!

If anyone has a problem with the conditions of ANY shop they are advised to voice their concerns directly to the shop owner/staff in person. If you do not feel your concerns have been taken seriously please speak to their licensing officer.

I would also like to point out that the admin and moderators do not allow any member to have multiple accounts.
