Although May/June is a fab time for Royals. The babies have hatched and had a few weeks to get feeding regularly.

You may be missing the point that Athravan was making.

Its not the people or website that sells the animal that actually deliver it. They go through a courier company. There is only ONE courier company in the UK that Legally accept live animals and transport them and that is TNT.........It is TNT that wont deliver it to the islands so therefore there will be NO website that will courier to you.

I strongly advise that if you are offered by someone to send it to you, you should refuse. The travelling time etc... while being couriered is far to long and it will affect the health of the animal, thats why TNT wont do it.... If you are offered it by a website or person this WILL NOT be Legally and the courier company will be unaware there is a live animal in the package and it will be thrown about and such like all normal parcels are.

Yeah I did get that TNT is the only courier that do that, however it is possible to get next day delivery here, and in a community this small (god that sounds retarded!) you can always make arangements.
Also, a little wishful thinking never hurt anyone?
Then again, if the wishful thinking had decieved me, it could posibly have harmed a snake, so yeah, iw ill be VERY careful when it comes to getting one.
I think that I have spoken to the website and they can't deliver to Shetland (no surprises) but I'm asking if they can deliver to Aberdeen where I can pick one up.

There are a couple of rep shops in Aberdeen. There is a thread in the Herp chat section called "rep shops in Scotland" and they may be mentioned there. I think one is Called Reptiles on the Green or something like that, I haven't been to any of the shops as far up as Aberdeen so can't comment on what they are like Im afraid.

Also, there is a Royal Breeder up in Aberdeen who is on these forums, so hopefully someone who can remember who that is will read this thread and point you in the right direction.

There will probably be lots of 08's available may/june time when the majority are ready to be sold, so you would probably be able to get one then no problem and plenty of time then to plan your trip across.

Yeah, I google mapped pet shops in aberdeen, but most were just for supplies. But if there is an aberdeen breeder, then hopefully he or someone else will spot this!
Ill see if i can do a search on him and try get in touch.
As for planning a trip across, there not that much that needs to be done.
As Im under 16, they give me 2 return trips per year on the boat, so ill just use one of them and try and plan it around the release of a good film! (We dont have a cinema, so thats always at the top of my to-do list when i go away)
Thanks!

your original post made it sound like you were ordering a pair of high brand jeans, not an animal...

ive paid over 100 to make sure my animals get to me safely
once had a lady send me a snake through royal mail
had it stopped at the depot and asked her to reconsider her methods of sending, or let me do it, or i won't be taking the snake and will contact the post office !

at the end of the day
you're buying an animal that requires more security with habitat in transit than a cat or dog

and you want it to last
so please, do it properly
don't just look for something because it's cheaper

don't mean to nag,
but i wanted to say it
