Well, finally deciding to put these guys up for sale. No fault of their own - just that our breeding plans have changed and I'd like to concentrate on several species I have a greater personal interest in.
They are a 1.1 proven pair of Kenyan Sand Boas (Eryx/Gongylophis colubrinus loveridgei). Both have been housed separately for the last 14 months; the female gave birth in July of last year to seven offspring who were sired by the male we've got (they were housed together before we got them in January of last year). These offspring were advertised here on RFUK. The male I'd guess is about sixteen or seventeen inches long, and the female is probably closer to 24. They're fairly regular eaters - the male will turn down maybe one feed out of four if I offer weekly, so I do skip the occasional week. Both will take frozen/thawed or fresh killed - and mice, rats or multimammates of appropriate size. The male likes food about rat-pup sized, the female will eat slightly larger. I'm afraid I don't have current feeding records for them at the moment. They have both shed within the last couple of months. I'll apologise in advance for the monochrome recent photos; the older photos are still accurate colour. Male (Kibato): ![]() Recent photo: ![]() This is the male, Kibato. He's currently not feeding - he's in his "I don't want to eat, I smell girls" mode. He's generally quite happy to eat frozen/thaw or freshkilled, whichever you have handy, once he gets out of breeding mode. Female (Mamake): ![]() Recent photo: ![]() This is the female, Mamake. She IS eating once a week on frozen/thaw or freshkilled large fluffs to small mice. NO equipment is available with these animals - we will be keeping their tubs as spares for the rack. I would prefer cash offers around £140; the animals are co-owned by Nienna and myself and half of what we get for them will be going to Nienna. For this reason I could not accept any animal or equipment trade without running it by Nienna as well... unless you're trading half cash for her, half something else for me. If you are considering a half and half trade, let me know what you have - but I'm not looking to trade for large constrictors or any type of lizard. I do not drive, do not have a TNT account and thus cannot courier. I am happy to work with Reptile Taxi, Petwheels or Gremlin Rides at the buyer's expense. I would be willing to meet at York, Sheffield, Leeds or Manchester train stations (with Manchester Piccadilly preferred - there's a Starbucks!) I am also considering selling a 1.2 of leopard geckos - one Blizzard het Albino male and two Albino het Blizzard females, one of whom is 'chocolate' in colour. All of them are somewhat skittish in viv, and the chocolate albino female will try to bite if you restrain her. The paler female is proven with the blizzard male and produced Normal, Albino, Blizzard and Blazing Blizzard offspring in 2006 (the blazing is the one in my avatar). She was not successfully bred last year and has not been bred this year. The darker female has never been bred. Not sure what to ask for these guys - I paid £250 for them as hatchlings in late 2004 but I am well aware the value of het blazing blizzards is not what it was. I'd consider fair offers or trades on these guys - again, no lizards; we are not equipped at this time for constrictors with an adult size over 10 feet, but would consider juveniles of smaller species/localities. I'm of two minds about selling them; please do not be offended if I say that an offer isn't quite what I'm looking for as I do have a great deal of affection for Nashira, Kurhah and Polaris.

I will not sell any of the animals separately - the pair of Kenyans go together (or two people agree to have one each but BOTH leave my house the same day) or I'll hang onto 'em. I'm not in a big rush to sell.
And the trio of leopard geckos I won't be separating either. The two females live together; the male is housed separately, but I don't want to split up the group.

By the way.... if it is a concern, I can accept payment by PayPal as well as cash in hand if that's easier for you.
If you do prefer PayPal let me know. Also: I won't hold these animals indefinitely for someone who "intends to pick 'em up in a couple of weeks" unless you're going to put a deposit on them. If you don't want to put money on them to say you're committed to buy them and ensure I hold them for you... please don't expect me to turn down someone who can pick them up sooner.
