Well for the extra capital a potential buyer would be shelling out, wouldn't they deserve some form of genetics guarantee or proof?
Would you prefer to pay £600 for a bright yellow clean Pastel or £300 for a muddy, horrible, skanky Pastel? You get what you pay for. These guys clearly aren't trying to decieve, and Trev keeps reiterating that the 'F2' is not genetically different to a 'normal' Fire - merely a nicer example with increased blushing etc. from Fire x Fire breeding.

I understand that, I'd pay £600 for a cleaner Pastel over a Murky Pastel.

No, they aren't deceiving the genetics, just labelling a standard Fire an "F2" Fire purely because it looks cleaner.

Hello Trev

I have a couple of questions, in part because I thought I understood how the "fire" gene works and because the photos of the "F2 Fires" do certainly look like better, prettier animals than most of the ones I've seen labelled as Fire in the past.

First and foremost, if I crossed a Black Eyed Leucistic (Homozygous "super" Fire) to one of these very pretty Fires, am I likely to get any of these pretty Fires in the offspring?

I know that I should expect some Black Eyed Leucistics in this pairing too; do the pretty F2 Fires make cleaner, whiter leucistics?

The other questions were whether you had any photos of the male Blackback Fire (listed as a Fire X Red Axanthic - I assume that means it had a fire parent who passed down a fire gene and a red axanthic parent who passed down "het red axanthic" AKA "blackback" ?) and/or any photos of the £300 '07 Fire female? Or am I misunderstanding the list?

Hiya ,,,,, as it stands, (and i have this from ember reptiles) you will NOT get any F2 fires from anyother pairing appart from fire x fire,,, this is the puzzling bit as i and most assume a lucy (homo) x fire would produce better fires,, this isnt the case,,

the male fire x red axanthic is actually a female,, i didnt type the list out here so dont shoot me,,
its a fire from fire x red axanthic parents,
and the £300 '07 fire female' ....these are fire sibs (normals) that ALL show the full fire pattern..
i will be posting pics of the collection for sale plus others tonight..
