Default Male Java Retic - Gauging interest

I'm not normally one for this kind of thread but bear with me..

In around 4-8 weeks time we have some snakes coming in as a trade and amongst them is a male 'java' retic. No i'll have no use for this guy and one can only keep so many normal male retics as "pets" so i'll have to move this chap on.

At thie time I have NO picture of this animal, if you want pictures wait or google "java reticulated python" He is a java so will have a deal of grey colouration to him and will have a grey head. Pretty much the image of a "standard mainland" retic. To the best of my knowlegde he has no remarkable features such as stripes or pattern oddities. I say again. I have NO pictures of this animal at this time.

This guy is around the 6ft mark, is 'viv defensive' but otherwise ok. This is pretty much the norm with this species.

Now the reason i've made this thread is I can always move on retics without having to use the forums but with the popularity of retics growing it's worth offering him here first to see if there are any takers, I'd much prefer to have potential buyers lined up for this fellow before he arrives with me.

so the details as I have them at the minute are:

around 6ft
06 snake
Male
origin unknown, presumed CF/WC as most 'java' retics in the pet trade are. Where ever he came from he has been in captivity for 'life' (since being around 175g, so practically a hatchling, av. hatch weight for a mainland is circa 150g) so no worries about internal paresites. For all intents and purposes it now no longer matters where he came from.

As with everything he'll be treated for external paresites on his way into and on his way out of my house.

HE is a strong feeder and good shedder and again before he leaves me he will have eaten at least one meal and have been given time to digest it properly, being a retic i'm not overly worried about his prowess as a feeder being exaggerated though

I will be asking around £75 for him. this has less to do with market value and more to do with my opinions on the kind of homes these snakes TEND to end up in if given away on a public place like this. Good home wanted, not cheap snake hunters

the following also applies:

Stricly no under 18's
These snakes can attain a very large size, I don't expect to have to answer any BASIC husbandry questions about this species. Please do your research BEFORE even enquiring. this is the kind of snake you should have been seriously considering for some time, retics never make good impulse purchases. Questions may be asked about the care and husbandry of this species and questions may be asked about your prior snake keeping experience.

Drop me a PM if you're interested and I will contact you when the snake arrives to finalise the deal. No deposit will be asked for at this time (after all, I could still get messed about!) but when the snake arrives a deposit will be asked for immediately (or full payment, whichever you prefer) in order to hold the snake. As stated it's anticipated that this snake will be with me somewhere in the 6-8 weeks timescale so deposit, payment and vivarium etc needs to be in place by then. This is subject to change but I do get the feeling this guy won't mess me around.

No offers at this stage.
