I dont know if this helps you -
my friend is renting her house out and told the letting agents that she didnt mind about animals in tanks or cages just didnt want dogs and cats etc. The agency told her that tenants do not have to declare any caged or tanked animals...so I think you will be ok, it made me breath a shy of relief as we have lizards and when our landlord comes round we always shut the doors to hide them!

We've rented for years in different places, we have always said we were keeping fish & herps and always been told fine as they don't leave allergies and fur all over the place! Always best to ask rather than be caught out later though (we've always asked for it to be added to the contract so nothing can go messy!)

Have you tried asking the letting agent? We've only ever had one agent say no (we walked away from that one)
