It is with genuine regret that I find myself having to sell my beautiful adult pure-bred speckled king snake (Lampropeltis getula holbrooki), s/he is 4 feet + and about 765g and truly a stunning example of the subspecies, pure-bred and not a niger or splendida intergrade/hybrid.




Anyway, sadly s/he can be a little bit skittish - never aggressive, just quite active - which makes it difficult to use him/her in my sessions in school etc. where a more slow-moving snake is more appropriate to put people at their ease. As I need to thin out my collection due to space and cannot justify keeping any animals which are not used in my business, s/he sadly needs to go.

I'm only looking for £60, less than I paid just a few months ago, and may even consider sensible offers as I sadly will need the space which s/he currently occupies very soon. This is a truly lovely species and a fantastic individual representing it. S/he is taking extra large mice or even large weaner rats, never ever refuses a meal! :wink:

Collection would need to be from here in Swindon. If you're far away then maybe somebody could collect him from me en route to a show or something if that would work out, I can easily get to Junction 15 of the M4 as it is only a five minute drive for me..

I certainly hope this will be the case and thanks for your comments! It's just really sad that so few people keep this subspecies these days, they were really popular when I bought my first back in the late 1980s but you hardly ever see them any more despite them being the best looking king by far in my opinion!

Seriously, this is as lovely a king snake as you could ever wish for, and I really want it to go to a good home so get in touch if you're interested in acquiring a top quality snake at a very low price - you know it makes sense...
