Default Looking for.... (Royal Morphs, West Yorkshire)

At this point this isn't quite a "wanted" - because I'm not sure yet what I'll be able to afford. What I'm wanting is some information about people who are planning to breed a few morphs I'm interested in, what the UK-bred prices are likely to be... so that I can build a plan of what I want to buy for what I'd like to produce in future.

I'm looking at and really liking the following morphs - as in "I will probably have at least one of each as and when I can afford them.":
Mojave
Lesser Platinum (or Platinum aka "platty daddy" - the hypo-effect animals - if I could get one)
Pinstripe

I wouldn't mind having something like a Pastave or a Spinner; I don't really want to pay huge money to get the extra genetics, mind, as I'm not desperate to add Pastel or Spider to the genetics I have planned.

Now, what I WANT to produce is the big banana, a "white royal" - whether that be via Lesser+Mojave, Lesser+Lesser, or one of the other White Snake Complex combinations. I'd also like to produce a Super Mojave, actually ... just because I like the idea of the faint patterned pale snakes.

My ideal at this point would be to get either a Lesser male or a Mojave male that will be ready to breed this time next year and an opposite-sex opposite-morph female... but I don't know if I could realistically afford that.

So, what I'm looking for right now is current prices on the three I'm interested in - not just shop prices (Yes, I've seen Crystal Palace's website, yes, I know they have all three of the morphs I want, but I would like to compare the prices from private breeders because the price on the Lessers, which is what my eyeball is falling on the most, is a little bit more than I want to spend since I do also want to buy a female of a compatible white-snake-making morph and I would LIKE to do it all for less than £2000 if I can) ... if there is a male of the right morph, the right weight and at the right price right now who can either ship when the weather's good or is located in Yorkshire so I can collect, then I've got a Paypal account and a credit card that doesn't mind me kicking it a bit, but it'd have to be the right animal.

Anyone out there who can help - with the questions on current pricing or with a nice '07 male Mojave or Lesser Platinum that isn't going to make my bank account scream?

You can get a pair of 07 mojaves for about £950, 08's will be cheaper again.
Pair of 07 lessers £2.8k.
Pinstripe £850.

The only things I don't like about the Suburban Pythons website is:

1) I have no idea where in the UK they are located - their website does not specify even what county they are in or even "north England/South England". If they aren't willing to give me that much information, I don't know whether I can collect (and they do state that in lieu of other arrangements, collection from them is done in person). Without knowing location I couldn't even start to get a quote from Reptile Taxi or any of the other herp couriers ... since I'd need to be able to give a point A to point B location
2) They don't take Paypal, credit or debit cards. I don't send cheques, postal orders, bank transfers or cash if I can avoid for SMALL purchases, let alone huge ones - not least because Paypal and credit cards offer some form of payment protection in cases of nondelivery. Wouldn't be so bad if I knew they were in Yorkshire and I could go collect in person...

I'm sure I could pick up an '07 pair of Mojaves for less than £2000 (even at shop prices) - but that said, a super Mojave isn't QUITE a blue-eyed Leucistic. My definition of a Blue-eyed Leucistic is "solid white patternless snake with blue eyes" - and a Super Mojave doesn't quite fit that description... the only photo of an adult I've found is a warm cream white with a tan head with clear eyestripes and silver-grey eyes. Very pretty... but not a leucistic. From what I've read and what I understand, the Lesser X Mojave makes the cleanest, whitest blue-eyed Leucies... which is why I'd really like my pair to be 1.0 of one morph and 0.1 of the other.

But that does rely on getting a reliable import through, and I must admit that the small but significant number of people on here who've said "The snake wasn't shipped or the paperwork didn't come through or the snake was sold by mistake" does put me off a bit. It'd also mean waiting until March when the next Hamm show is, if I'm thinking rightly... which is a possibility.

I personally would , and I am, wait till March and get something from Hamm.

BC isn't as bad as people make out and I believe a lot of the 'problems' recently weren't actually anything to do with him

But then you do also have NERD,RDR,VPI etc etc.

If you want a solid white snake then you want a pair of Fires to make a Black Eyed Leucistic, FAR nicer and far whiter than a Blue Eyed.

There are a few 'dirty' BELs though. I have a stunning BEL and will have some Fires for sale in a few months. pm me if you want to be on my list. They will be affordable as well but I won't give exact figures until I sell but can give you rough prices if you pm.

The only problems with Fires, Paul, is that a Fire doesn't look significantly different to a normal as far as my partner is concerned (otherwise I'd just buy a pair of Yellowbellies and say "Here, we've got het Ivories, and Ivory is nice enough at adulthood even if hatchlings look a bit mucky") ...

The partner wants a pair of morphs that LOOK like morphs as well as having the potential to produce "White Snakes"... and he likes the blue eyes on a Lesser Mojave. I can't say I blame him (I also like morphs that look like morphs instead of morphs that are just slightly odd normals - and the photos of Fires that I've seen look like nice, shiny, bright normals)

That's one reason we're really looking at the Lesser X Mojave pair - because both of those will look distinctive as individuals as well as for what offspring they can produce.
