As has been said, unless you have paperwork stating it is a Cook's then it won't be. Many pet shops and even suppliers put the 'Cook's' label on any generic ATB as either a deliberate deception (as they are worth a lot more) or an outdated throw back (a lot of work recently has renamed many species in the complex.
True Cooks (Corallus cookii) are ONLY found on St. Vincent and a few surrounding islands. ATB's (Corallus hortulanus) are closely related but are found all over the mainland of Northern South America. Exports from St. Vincent are strictly controlled and therefore TRUE Cooks are very difficult to come by in the trade.
I'm sorry to come across as bolshy, but it is one of many bits of false information perpetuated in the hobby by suppliers and shops that sell things without doing any proper research at all. This then causes people like yourself (and through no fault of your own) to sell them on as you bought them only to have some 'know-it-all' forum posting stranger to tell you you are wrong!
Anyway, it is a stunning snake and should be snapped up at £120 as a really nice ATB.
Cheers
Andy
