the hooks just for comparison dosen't bite .i thought she was unusual with the brighter orange tail moss common boas i'v seen dark brown or black tails.

In theory all animals that have a mouth can bite. Even tame snakes can have a bad day and bite for no apparent reason.

I have a hook, which helps me in situations where I want to shift a snake with minimal stress, etc, but I only have one or two who are really aggressive.
