quite interestingly peterf has some ltc sulawesis that he mainly uses for morph breedings, the strange thing is that despite them supposedly being the giggest locality of retic, he has some that are no more than 11 or so feet????

I personally think a fair few locales were shipped under the 'sulawesis' ie it will be the port of shipping or something.
I've seem people claim they are giants and also seen people with 12ft ish adult females! MY guess is there a re a few distinct populations/localities in the mix somewhere OR at some point in the past 'sulawesi retics' were collect from Area/locality/island/whatever "a" and called sulawesi and now there are also locality/area "b" and "c" too very similar to the situation with the early dwarf imports. Jamp/kalatoa/kayaudi wiith slightly confusing labels from the importers. Who knows...it's one of the things that I love and loath about retics in euqal measure

Sulawesi is a big place with some areas which form their own self contained localities,
It has many specific localities of retics there, and also the dwarf burmese pythons comes froma remote part of mainland sulawesi also sooo there is a large possibility that dwarf retics are also found in these remote pockets... ![]() Makassar (now called Ujungpandang) is very difficult to get retics from currently.
