Hi my wife is looking to start keeping snakes with a corn snake being her first choice , She is looking for a hatchling Anerythristic and vivarium/heat mat ect, The vivarium ideally would be 48:18:18(inches) we live near Tiverton (Devon) but could travel for the right kit
Thanks
Sean

If she's looking at a hatchling, you wouldn't need a viv that big for a while yet. Mat, stat and tub/funarium is all you'll need.

Click on the pics to link through, a good price and you wont go wrong buying from them, all the help you could need and good quality stock, not too far from you either, based just over in Dorset.

Hi we were told a hatchling would be best? but I know my wife wanted a larger snake than that, Also we have the space for a 3-4 ft viv and just wanted to have one there without having to change every now and then
Thanks
Sean
PS thanks for the link but she wants a viv with lockable sliding doors and that "looks nice" lol,

if I was yopu id tub then for a while then put them into the viv, when they are larger no need to keep upgrading it could live in the tub for a year or more.

A quote from reptilekeeping.net: Don't listen to the so called experts who say "you can't put your reptile in a big vivarium as it will get intimidated"

This is not true, think how big the tank is if the reptile was to hatch in the wild, as long as you provide the reptile with everything it needs, basically the correct thermal gradient, correct diet and places to hide the reptile should thrive.
The above is an old pet shop trick of getting you to pay for the set-up twice as you would have to upgrade the tank later in the reptiles life.

Thanks for that, We still want a larger viv even if we end up getting a hatchling, Just think of the fun the kids will have trying to spot it lol keep them quiet for hours

they do TNT animals and equipment.

that would do them there whole life, if she wants to put them straight into a viv.
