Default He did it almost on his own

Fred, my male BRB has never taken food, I've always had to push it down his throat and massage it all the way to his tum. Tonight I put the 1st rat pup in his mouth and he did the rest. The 2nd one he struck at but dropped it so I popped it in his mouth and down it went, the same with the 3rd.

After nearly a year he's found his feeding response, let's hope it continues.

been there... yep, get that reflex to relax... they are a very difficult snake to force feed in most cases... they will reject it up until it hits the stomach... many times... give her a live on at night maybe soon just to see what happens?

You're right there Habu. It's been a nightmare getting him this far but hopefully I won't need to live feed now.

It's hard isn't it. I hate having to do it, but once they start getting there it's a really good feeling. Well done with yours and I hope he starts to eat on his own soon.
