Well early last April myself, Ssthisto and Oni went to see Denise (ReptileRescueDen) to pick up a stunning female African House Snake. And whilst we were there, I mentioned to Denise how I was into my Sand Boas and jokingly asked if she had any. Imagine my surprise when she said she had!
As I waited with baited breath, she brought this little lady down. At first we thought she was a Kenyan (as I'd never seen any other type of Sand Boa to that date) but after further examination once we got her home (and compared her to my other adult female Kenyan) I realised she was in actual fact a Saharan Sand Boa. Well that was fine by me, just meant I would not be breeding her.
From what I remember she was a bit of a picky eater and so was a little on the slim side. This was her the day we brought her home.
Ssthisto was kind enough to house (and still does house a fair few of ) my snakes and soon had her feeding (apparently she preferred fresh killed

). She rapidly began to put the weight back on and Ssthisto soon had her eating defrost. I've had her at home with me now for a couple of weeks (my parents previously would not allow them home - now we have come to a compromise about them) and shes fantastic. Also nick named the "Pretzel" (as she just curls around your hand and stays there)shes one snake I'm perfectly happy to hand to a child. Never shown any agression to anything but a dead mouse and shes a perfect lady. We aren't sure of her history prior to Denise but I suspect shes LTC.
Here she is today! Will put up a video later.
All in all I just wanted to thank Denise for my little angel and to keep up the good work!
