To be honest it wasn't as hard as you think. The camera is a cannon 300 eos300d slr digital which you can buy new for £300. It does have a decent normal lens though (not macro). All I did was feed the snake and then after it had eaten I set the focus by pressing half way down and just waited. As soon as he went to reset his jaws I pressed the button and got lucky .

With programs like zoom browser that you also get with canon (i think) you can just crop the image and inlarge. It's only a 6 mp camera but thats plenty.

The other good thing esp with small snakes is if you think there is a problem you can soom in and make a corn snake head a foot big and still have clarity to check what you can't see with the eye.

You can see what I mean if you search my name on here and pictures I posted of this snake when I thought I had problems.

Cheers for all the comments

Alex
