Default Argie update - DUW

Argie update as of 24 Oct, all born 8 August:-
Not entirely accurate as some haven’t pooped and some were fed only a few days ago. All of the ones that have had under 6 feeds are now eating on there own but obviously aren’t going anywhere for a good while yet. 13 & 17 are hold backs. 

1. 174g had 7 feeds and weighed 101g at birth - female.

2. 133g had 7 feeds and weighed 95g at birth - male.

3. 152g had 7 feeds and weighed 82g at birth - male.

4. 149g had 7 feeds and weighed 70g at birth - female.

5. 197g had 8 feeds and weighed 101g at birth – male.

6. SOLD.
7. 161g had 7 feeds and weighed 95g at birth – male.

8. 116g had 3 feeds and weighed 98g at birth – female.

9. SOLD
10. 175g had 8 feeds and weighed 94g at birth – female.

11. 186g had 8 feeds and weighed 88g at birth – male.

12. 103g had 3 feeds and weighed 97g at birth – female.

13. 147g had 8 feeds and weighed 97g at birth – male.

14. 134g had 3 feeds and weighed 97g at birth – female.

15. 149g had 8 feeds and weighed 89g at birth – male.

16. 177g had 8 feeds and weighed 98g at birth – female.

17. 186g had 7 feeds and weighed 107g at birth – female.

18. 120g had 4 feeds and weighed 90g at birth – female.

19. 125g had 3 feeds and weighed 87g at birth – male.

20. 145g had 6 feeds and weighed 96g at birth – female.

21. 185g had 8 feeds and weighed 93g at birth – female.

22. 186g had 10 feeds and weighed 89g at birth – female.

They were grown on inside Mom I think! Next time she breeds I think she'll give birth to sub-adults. All are feeding on medium mice and are growing fast due to this. They started on small mice and for most of them it as really too small a meal but I like to start them off slow, very big babies, if you checkout my earlier post you'll see their weights and lengths at birth. Biggest I've seen from Argies.

they are really nice,I feed mine on rats though,as they're going to be on rats anyway when their older.

I always start them off on mice, then graduate to rats, varying the diet with chicks, pidgeon, gerbil, hamsters and rabbit. Offering them more avian food during the spring and early summer. I tend to do this with all my snakes that are large enough to cope with such food. Small -medium mice for the first dozen or so feeds, as there is more solid bone matter in them compared to a comparitively sized rat pup or small weaner. :wink:
