Thanks, and congrats i think Royals make fantastic first snakes. Mine caused me a bit of worry over the winter by not feeding too well but other than that he's been brilliant in every way. They are a great snake to build your confidence with as well, mine dosent have an agressive bone in his body (unless your a rat lol)

Sigh. Most unnerving! My Royal is at least two years old or more, had him since about 5 months and is smaller than yours.. Its quite worrying, but he eats and everything fine. Dwarf? x] Ideas? x

The pics may make him look bigger then he is, he's just about getting on for 2 1/2- 3 feet now. Havnt measured him for ages but i estimate that he's almost the length of his viv. I dont see him stretched out very often.
Loki was on XL mice up until last month and hes now taking small rats of about the same size. I feed every 10-12 days now as his food size has gone up quite a bit, before i was feeding every 7-10 days. Hardly at all over the winter as he was refusing most of the food i offered. I dont know about dwarf royals, personally ive never heard of them. Yours may just be a slow grower. If the temps are all ok and its feeding ok, i cant see any reason there would be anything wrong.

Hehe thanks He's quite active, fed every week. And temperatures are fine. So i can't see either, then again, you get your small people, and your huge people. Guess it can be similar to reptiles also!! Love him just the same! Im tiny myself so..
