Default Psycho Ruby!

We've discovered we may have brought a pint-sized devil incarnate home from Doncaster! Baby Ruby is crackers, she hates all large shapes/objects moving within a 10m distance, she dislikes being picked out of her box, having her water changed, her photo taken, anyone looking in, being offered food (ignoring the mouse, aiming for the hand)....so pretty much everything! After a sterling performance this afternoon which involved the loudest hissing/mouth gaping/striking repeatedly when I changed the water (wish I'd caught that on camera!!) she had chilled out considerably by teatime and I got a few photos. Unsuprisingly, the photos look like butter wouldn't melt in her mouth.....

What a sweetie, give her time to settle and she should be fine, try leaving her viv open if poss, and let her come out on her own.Once she knows she is safe in her new home she should handle nicely every time you go near her.
atb,
Gerry.

atb,
Gerry.

The last time we tried that she ended up in the coffee maker!! She's like Jekyll and Hyde, totally docile and gentle, then for no reason I can see, she's a nutter! I think we have one, with er, personality!! I'm sure she'll improve over time, she kinda likes me but hates the OH, but then I handle her most, so this shows there is hope, gentle, consistent handling should do the trick. But its funny to see such a little snake with the attittude of a lion!
