God people on forums are so uptight!!!! I know the tub is steamy but I absolutely swear to you it is just condensation left from when my snake was shedding a week ago. I have wiped it off several times and will soon clean out his box. It is just on the sides, the substrate is bone dry and so is he. I am not worried about his health because I am sure that a corn snake would encounter some moisture in the wild, in fact living in a continually dry sterile environment while preventing some conditions can end up causing others such as dry sheds. I saw a zoo programme the other day featuring an aardvark or something and the babies had always died of skin infections caused by scratching themselves. The itching was due to having such dry skin because the humidity was so 'controlled,' in case it allowed a bacteria to grow-oh no- and the animals were living on sand and had a heat lamp as well... My other corn who lives in a viv has to have a damp box in with her from the second she goes blue to have a normal shed, because the rest of the time there is no humidity at all owing to the fact the tank is heated and I use wood chips/paper.
Anyway I will remember noone on here has a sense of humour when posting things in future.

You must live in an oven if your corns need near rain forest conditions to help them shed. All of my North American colubrids shed successfully without the need of humid hides, heavy misting or such. Large waterbowl, healthy snake and our relative humidity is usually enough.

Wooah! Steady on, no need to chuck your toys out of the pram! It was pretty hard to see, to be honest.

On a serious note though, if you have that level of condensation on the walls, it is indicative of the level of moisture in the air, (ie warm, wet air condenses on a cooler surface, my BRB's are rainforest dwellers and even they never have that level of condensation!!) which doesn't mean skin issues, but could cause RI in a corn snake not accustomed to high humidity. On a side note, shedding issues are often caused by a lack of internal hydration, not external humidity and occasionally stress. None of my corns have any humid hides or spraying at shed time and they all shed easily and in one piece. I'd certainly look again at your set ups and assess them for ventilation etc. And what have aardvarks got to do with it??

Everyone was joking about, clearly showing that they do have a sense of humour. No need to throw a wobbly just because it wasn't the sort of humour you were looking for.

And as it's clearly a corn and that's clearly very humid it's understandable for people on a reptile forum to worry that you have constant high humidity.

That's totally unfair- I do have a very good sense of humour and was not ranting. I was explaining. Are you saying you would find it funny if you posted something and everyone replied saying they didn't get it, what was the point, and that who gives a about it?! And why on earth shouldn't I retaliate against people talking about me in that way? Just put yourself in my shoes.
Everyone was laughing among themselves about something I'd done, it was not really something I was ever going to find funny myself was it?
