I stroke mine and poke them or whatever to get that contact and get them use to being touched and nothing bad happening, other than food, a spray, a clean or water on the way. i only handle mine when i have to - however, you could easily tame it without handling it(unless its needed) simply by touching or picking up part of the body when the snake is in its cage

I actually love the tree boas, and the Amazons are such pretty delicate snakes. Nice to know some have a sweet nature!!
