Looking at you old posts it seems you are keeping all your herps on heatmats
If I were you I would sort your husbandary out quick smart or you are going to end up with some very sick animals and some BIG vet bills.
They will survive under poor conditions but not for long.

So are you and bignick one and the same????

I am sure you will get some great advice on how to change your setup on here
Nice welcome mate. Well done you!!! You sound like my dad. Try being a bit more tactful when welcoming members.

And to the poster. Its spelt Burmese.

Well you sound like my son........Snivleing.... "you sound like my dad" .

As you get older you realise you might just aswell get to the point and ask what questions you want to ask rather than faffing around 'mate' and loving each other up 'hun'.

I apologised for not realising they were husband and wife .

The poster has accepted no offence was meant ..........and moved on.

Then you come along and bring it up again.........drop it 'mate' and maybe start listening to your Dad sounds like a nice guy.

A little tip that may help with the eye cap. Let the snake sit in slightly warm water (i.e feels the same temperature as your hand) for an hour or so. Make sure the water is only about 1" high and supervise the snake. After the hour or so, take a peice of sticky tape and gently touch the eye cap and it should just pull out. You need to be VERY carefull. If it feels like there is too much resistance from the cap, then stop at once and you'll have to get the snake to a vet to have the cap removed. Be VERY carefull with the sticky tape, if you get it on any of the normal scales, you could cause some damage to them.

If you need any more help, PM me as I've delt with the same problem in a rescure Royal Python.

to the forum

Lovely snakes.

Only one thing, it would be nice to get a full body shot of the boa. On that pic it doesn't look like a redtailed boa, but a BCI.

One way or another, well done for giving it a good loving home
