Lovely snakes there Bob. How much they cost you to import as I get mine from Hamm and just interested on how much it costs to import from the US?

havent sat down to a final bill for this one yet... problem with imports is the cost vary's due to a number of factors, the main one being the size and number of snakes involved, but in basic terms i've found that i can make a saving by shipping a number snakes rather than one or two.

but as i said in my reply to dan's post the main factor for me is transit time.... getting to hamm and back home... at best would take me 2 days each way, but in reality 3 days for the return journey is more realist and would allow me time to wander round the show.

shipping into the UK... say for myself alone means i can do the trip in under 24 hrs, other times when i've consolidated a shipment i've been able to make it a 48 hr round trip

Or you could just let me pick them up and get them up to you in my own sweet time.... say three years or so :P

That is a good point, have found it annoying how far away Hamm is and how much the snakes have to be in transit for. Most snakes I have got from Hamm have eaten well and not overly stressed but there is a high risk of them being too stressed and pourly eaters etc.

I have never found any problems with getting them from Hamm but I agree with you as you say it isn't a nice trip for yourself and the reptiles

Always wondered one thing ... in which compartment of the airplane do they travel ?

Surely they can't be chucked with the cargo, because it would be bloody freezing.

Can anyone enlighten me on that ?
