Thanx Nerys...

Hes a Candoia Aspera (Viper Boa).... and hes a very bright red specimen, I bought him for that reason, to breed to my Orange female, Im still not sure if shes gravid. Im hoping if it does work out I get really nice brightly coloured babies

this is probably a reli stupid question...but are viper boas actually venomous or is it just because they look like vipers or something?

They arent venomous..... There common name Viper Boa is because thier head shape and body markings are kinda like a Death adders and they are said to mimic them.
