Default Kevin the Japanese Rat Snake

He's not a very friendly fella at the mo, despite being nice at the shop on saturday and the rest of that day/evening. He started striking at everyone the following day, even if just going into the viv to change the water. Tried to escape last night too, he made a dash for the open door.

He's kept himself hidden until a little while ago so I managed to sneak some pictures before he went into hiding again.

Unfortunately Kevin The Japanese Rat Snake went back to the shop tuesday night. He was a beautiful snake but kept striking at everything/everyone and was frightening the kids. Although we are aware that with time and patience he may have calmed down, we didn't want to put the kids off their own snakes. He was even trying to strike through the glass!

He was good as gold in the shop when we bought him, and when we took him back he was fine again. I think there was something in our house that might have freaked him out as we have other animals, including a rat.

Anyway Dragon Reptiles were brilliant about us taking him back and swapping him for another corn snake. So now we have a black corn. Called Snowy.
