Default Evil snakes!

Today was cleaning day and I had the camera to hand...

I just thought id post these pictures of my nasty nasty JCP - hes the most evil snake I have had the peasure of dealing with.. I was tired of his evil ways so decided to make a snake hook! Muahaha!!

Him eyeing me up:

Him half way through a strike

Him striking right out of camera view! I think he was after my face

I also have a quite evil Royal, shes the only one of my Royals who ever gets agressive and will strike at will! Here she is eying me up with her come near and i'll bite you look. She did strike when I went to get her back in her tub from where you see her now.

Evil as she may be shes my Het Albino and getting nicely up to size... looking forward to breeding her this coming season

Most baby snakes are usually a bit jumpy or aggressive. this is known as a hyperdefensive response. The survival instincts of juveniles favor escape and avoidance because most young snakes are subject to attack by preditors in the wild. In nature when a baby snake is picked up it is about to become dinner, not adored or purchased and it is this reason that many young snakes are aggressive. They mellow out though as they learn that you mean them no harm.
