 no seriously. Let it autofocus for now until you get some time to play with it.If you want to have more of the picture in focus try a smaller aperture setting. To do this set it to A and there should be a number when you look through the lens the smaller it is the slower the shutter speed will be but it will bring more of the pic into focus. If you want to focus on just one part of the pic then set it to have a higher speed and smaller aperture.

I could never be bothered to read my manual so all my photos including long distance ones are took in macro lol.

well i sat on my camera and broke the lcd screen so i cant see to change the settings now but if i remember rightly its set on auto with macro turned on too.
