Default Xray of Lenny's back

Lenny is the boa who was bought as a breedable female and turned out to be a male with a damaged spine.
Well I took him to the vets today to check if the damage was genetic or if it had been caused by an accident. The vet couldn't say for certain either way but the Xray clearly shows 2 ribs fused together (inside the red circle) which are causing the dip in his body. Unfortunately Lenny must have moved and the Xray missed his spine at that point so we can't see if there is a problem in it but the vet did confirm that his back has not been broken and that the damage is old.

that's a relife to hear, the ribs account for problems with flexing the back in that place. hope it all works out okay

No it doesn't seem to bother him at all, most of the time there is no visible sign of damage, he moves about normally in his viv. The only reason we noticed something wrong was when we got him out of the viv his tail end would roll over so his belly was uppermost and sometimes he doesn't notice when you touch his tail. The rolling isn't so obvious now as he is getting used to us, so he doesn't stress so much.
His previous owner had had him from 2 weeks old and said there was nothing wrong with him and that any damage must have been done by us but the son said he had always rolled and they thought it was normal. The vet confirmed that it was an old injury or from birth.
