i agree with above post tehy are also known to be very very agressive snakes and i mean i wouldnt wanan get tagged by one lol also very large snakes one of the biggest in the world i belive and tehy need large vivs so unless youve got a good 3-4 years expnce with large snakes i would say no not good pet and i wouldnt say a rock python is a good snake to keep anywayz as they so agressive (i know there are tame ones and some people do have em but just my opinion)

i agree there care sheets are imporant to read and also just coz you got a burm dont mean you can go get a afrock there like completely diff temperment wise i would personally like to keep a few large snake b4 a afrock allthough not as large as otehrs they are very agressive and lets say a 12ft afrock i know tehy get bigger)was agressive you dint know got it out like you did your bum it bit you and went mad what ya gonna do ?no experience no knowledge on what to do, personally i think people looking at getting a agressive large snake species need more experience that with just a burm please understand im not havin a go just givving you my opnion on this and you have a burm but dont know what to keep a afrock in ?sounds a lil odd to me obvi the smae as you did a burm when she wa slittle unless you got her as adult either way if you google em for care sheets youll soon find out google is god of the internet

You must have a huge house to have two whole rooms set by for these two snakes once there fully grown.

you dont need rooms burms can be kept in 8x4x4 ft vivs and afrocks probz the same from what i have read when given rooms large snakes beome very territoreal and can become rather agressive so personally id opt for a viv not a room allthough many do keep em in rooms as some do get rto big to be in viv

It depends on what you mean by "pet".

If you mean "animal I can handle, pet casually, trust not to maul me and keep as a companion" then no, an African Rock Python probably doesn't make a good one.

If you mean "Animal whose habits and behaviours I can work around, learn how to feed and clean up after without getting bitten or being mistaken for food in a fatal manner and who will always require a major degree of caution in handling" then yes, an Afrock might be fine.

A young African Rock python should be fine in an appropriately sized vivarium.
